Born in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised in Elyria, Peter’s talent in the arts was evident early, in fact according to his mother, no surface, whether it was a piece of scrap paper or a wall was safe from his creative childlike murals. By the time, he reached grade school he was drawing his own characters in make shift comics. Some years later after graduating high school he began classes at the Lorain County Community College (1998).
His talent and dedication quickly garnered the attention of professors and peers alike, having won a few art awards through jury reviews and school competitions. After a short hiatus from school in 2009, Peter returned reinvigorated in 2011, a passion that was quickly reward with a nomination by his professors for the prestigious Talent of the Year Award. This award is presented to a student whose talent has been refined to a high degree of skill and proficiency, and through energetic application of these abilities has demonstrated preeminence in a specific area of accomplishment (forensic, visual arts, performing art letter, etc.)- he won.
By 2014 Heston was recognized for his artistic talents as well as his academic excellence of maintaining a 3.8 GPA and graduated with and Associate of Arts Degree that same year. Subsequently within a few month’s Heston was enrolled fulltime with the Rocky Mountain of Art and Designs online degree program, where his hard work and dedication has carried over.
In April of 2017 Heston Graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in illustration from the Well known institute the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design.
Naturally, art will remain the focus of Heston’s pursuits, having discovered a passion for children’s book illustration and a continued zeal for comic books and custom art work, a new chapter shall begin targeting various genres. Peter feels that art is life, and life is an art, this motto is coupled with an unwavering artistic vision and an insatiable hunger to learn more artistic techniques. Therefore, it should come as no surprise the level of potential and promise that rest atop the future of his artistic horizons.
